Ilegales is a modern day
dramatic feature about human trafficking along the U.S./Mexico border. From the slums of
Juarez to the suburbs of New Mexico, five distinct, but connected stories weave together, exploring hope,
heartbreak, and the lines people cross in search of a better life.
In Juarez, a Mexican day laborer chooses to help his childhood friend traffic illegal migrant workers across
the border despite his wife's fears. A young mother, after waiting 7 years to cross legally, flees Juarez
in a desperate attempt to get her son the medical treatment he needs in America. In New Mexico, an illegal
immigrant waiting for naturalization sells drugs to pay the bills for his American born children. Their paths
collide when a low level Mexican gangster tries to work up the ladder to gain favor with the "Don" of Juarez,
risking their lives as he traffics people and drugs across the border.
Our first New Media project was originally released in conjunction with
an alternate reality game that would allow players to interact with its characters in the
real world and on the web. The Sundance Channel licensed it, and the entire first season
can now be found on their website:

Jordan is the first feature film we produced in New Mexico, currently repped for worldwide sales by Media Luna New Films. It is the story of a five-year-old girl who has to find help for her injured mother following a car crash on a remote mountain highway. Small-town Sheriff Gil Lujan wants to believe the tiny girl who stumbles into his office, exhausted and disheveled, after walking all night through the forest. But, when a woman appears claiming to be Jordan’s mother, Jordan doesn’t recognize her. Instead, she insists her real mother is still waiting out in the woods. What follows is a nail-biting thriller about the bond between mother and child and how far each one is willing to go to protect it. Check out the trailer and more at http://jordan.irismediaworks.com.
