Richard Propes at The Independent Critic just reviewed Illegal (formerly Ilegales) quite favorably. A few choice quotes:

"The film...feels...like the award-winning Traffic in the way that it permeates the lives of its characters rather than simply making a political statement...Illegal is the kind of film that makes you think and it's the kind of film that will have audiences talking after watching it...[the] one thing that I appreciated the most about the film it's that it took its fundamental question of "What lines would you cross for a better life?" and made it accessible and thought-provoking for American audiences."
If you haven't yet seen the film, you can pick up a copy at Amazon. See the trailer below.

In addition to Best Short Film, Alternate Sides won best supporting actor for Brian Coates. Additionally, Alternate Sides was nominated for Best Director and Best Supporting Actress for Jessica Pohly. Congratulations to all who helped make this film happen!
